I photograph a lot of seniors, and most of them are taken at Kings Gap Mansion. This senior photo session was no different. But the senior this time was a delightful surprise! I actually met Avalee and her family over ten years ago. Though we didn’t keep in touch, it was a nice surprise when her mom’s email dropped into my inbox inquiring about senior photos for her daughter. I couldn’t believe it. Time went too fast, and now instead of a little girl curled up next to me in my friend’s family’s living room (I have pictures of this!), her daughter is a grown young lady, ready to take on the world.
Avalee told me during her session that she dreams of getting into landscaping and working outside with her hands. She feels better in nature than anywhere else. I couldn’t agree with her more! It was a joy getting to know grown-up Avalee as we walked around the gardens and talked about all the things she is a part of in high school. From FFA to travel ball and all her schoolwork, she is a busy girl. But her future is so bright.
It was such an honor to photograph Avalee this beautiful evening on the side of the mountain!
