Hi friends! If you’re looking for Christmas gifts for the photographer in your life, this list of Christmas gifts for photographers is perfect for you! I wanted to compile a list of some of my favorite things that I use, in the hope that it would help someone else. This list will include everything from camera bags to filters to SD cards. There’s a price range for anyone and everyone on this list.
To start, we’ll begin with my favorite camera bags.
Camera Bags
Kamrette Bags: Kamrette camera bags are a favorite of many photographers for a big reason. They’re beautiful, timeless, and they withstand constant use well. I personally have both the Lyra and Mina backpacks, and the Versa crossbody is definitely on my wishlist for the future. I’ve owned the Lyra backpack for the past 9ish years, and it is only just now beginning to show wear!

Next, I recommend Shimoda bags for the adventure photographer in your life.
Shimoda bags are designed for the adventurous travel photographer with durable coatings and anti-rip designs. They withstand all kinds of weather and rainstorms, and have room for a variety of lenses. They offer rugged bags for long hauls, as well as sleekly designed backpacks for city travel and work, all with the protection of the rest of their line. They even design their bags with custom straps for both males and females. They are the only company I know of that creates bags dedicated to women’s and men’s torso shapes. This alone makes me love them so much!

If you’re looking for something sleeker, less “camera bag”, and smaller, I highly recommend my favorite light travel bag by Brevite.
Brevite bags resemble a regular backpack but also function as a camera bag. They actually just released a new version of their traditional design, and I love the upgrades. Padded shoulder straps, sturdy inside dividers with enough pockets for a rain cover, batteries, and knick-knacks, it truly is the best casual photography bag I’ve found. They have three designs: the 2026 Jumper, the Rucksack, and the Runner. I have the old (original) design of the Jumper and can’t love it more. It’s amazing, and it’s flown with me several places when I didn’t need my whole kit!

Now onto other odds and ends, I highly recommend:
Good filters. My favorite filters are from URTH or Polar Pro. From UV filters to Circular Polarizers, you can find anything between these two companies. Polar pro has more fancy filters, such as cinema mist filters, or CineGold, or Split Center filters, where URTH has more traditional ‘protect your lens’ kind of filters. Just know the size of your lens thread, and you are good to go. You can’t go wrong with either!

SD Cards
SD cards are a great, affordable stocking stuffer gift for the photographer in your life. You can purchase any SD card at Amazon, Best Buy, or even your local Walmart. Look for the black Sandisk Extreme Pro cards with higher megabytes. I recommend THESE. Or, look for LEXAR cards. Lexar is slightly pricier than Sandisk, but just as good, and you can find them here.
Peak Design Clip
This is a great tool for the hiking or adventure photographer in your life. I use this on every hike, Grant, and I do, and every time we travel! This keeps your hands open and free, while leaving your camera quickly within reach when needed. Any photographer would be thrilled to have one of these end up in their stocking!
Camera Straps
These are an easy choice for a gift. They can be as cheap or as expensive as you want. You can find custom straps on Etsy or purchase reliable ones from reputable companies. Amazon also has some great finds. My favorites are the unique or handmade ones. I have a strap that matches my guitar strap!
Tripods
These don’t have to be big, fancy or expensive. Some photographers love carbon fiber tripods (which can be pricy but are amazing for traveling and hiking), and others love a small compact one for filming videos of themselves or taking self-portraits. Amazon has a great selection of tripods available. My favorite compact one is this one by ULANZI. It’s portable, compact, and the legs bend, allowing you to make it flexible to your needs. It also works with a cell phone!
Film
It seems like this is the craze right now and to be cool you have to shoot film. If you’re looking for a film camera and film, you can’t go wrong with this film, or this affordable 35mm film camera here. If you want something a little more fun and expensive, this amazing Polaroid camera is a dream! This camera is a wide Instax, and I own this one and highly recommend it! The Polaroid pictures are larger than the small ones, and look so good in a scrapbook!

Memory card case
Another easy and inexpensive gift is a memory card case to hold all the SD’s photographers use! This one by Wandrd is a great option because it offers versatility for batteries, Hard drives, SD cards, and more.
Hard Drives
Photographers use a ton of space, so gifting them a hard drive would be a great stocking stuffer! My favorites are G-Drives, or LaCie hard drives, as they are guaranteed not to fail.
I hope you enjoyed this list of Christmas Gifts for Photographers! If you would add something to this list, drop it below! I hope you enjoy gifting this holiday season, and have a very Merry Christmas!
