NOTE —

If your blog post's featured images are fairly low resolution, you may want to delete the top image canvas. Your blog will still look gorgeous, but the top banner section looks best when you upload an image that's 2500px on the long side. You can also use our fave TinyJpeg to make them small so your blog posts still load quickly!

Before & Afters

June 11, 2020

Sometimes when you’re scrolling through social media, you see all these beautiful images. And if you’re like me, the first thing you think is, “how the heck do they make their photos look so amazing?!” Well, most of these people use editing apps! When I first got into photography, I was convinced people just knew how to take photos straight in camera that looked amazing. This usually isn’t the case though. Almost every person you follow, uses something to edit their photos to make them look amazing. That’s what today’s post is about! I’m posting some of my favorite before and afters so that you can really see what my photos look like straight out of camera, and then edited!

Each photographer has a unique style of editing, so each before and after is going to look different. However, I think this is a really fun way to see the magic behind the images that each photographer creates!

BEHIND THE LENS

Meet
    Holly

Photographer, artist, mother, wife, author, inspired by nature, good light, and you.

I've been a photographer for over ten years and an equestrian for over eighteen. I feel most alive and creative when I’m surrounded by nature — sweeping landscapes, quiet beauty, and golden light. I cherish time with my family and the people I love most, and I hold the Sabbath close as a reminder that rest is as sacred and necessary as hard work. Above all, I believe life’s greatest gift is found in both loving deeply and being deeply loved in return.
